Twitter index: Kylie 'Timebomb' video, Justin Bieber 'Die In Your Arms' single, Facebook Camera

Microbloggers are furiously tweeting “#KylieTimebomb” after Australian pop star Kylie Minogue teased that she would post a link to her new single and accompanying music video “Timebomb” if they kept on tweeting. 

Half an hour later she announced, “You did it!!! #KylieTimebomb. On iTunes now!” along with the shortnened link to iTunes, “smarturl.it/KylieTimebomb.”  

Twitterers are eagerly awaiting the release of Justin Bieber’s new single “Die In Your Arms" which is expected to be released on iTunes on Tuesday.

They tweet, "’Die In Your Arms’ sounds like Its going to be one of those really sweet/romantic songs just like Never Let You Go. I can't wait to hear It,” “I'm soooo excited to hear Justin's new single 'Die In Your Arms'. It's gonna be flawless. Beliebers, prepare for your ovaries to explode” and “Die In Your Arms sounds like some adorable love song that is going to make me realize how forever alone I am.”

Facebook has unveiled a brand new standalone app called Camera that makes it easier to upload multiple photos to the social network and to browse through friends’ photos. The app includes basic photo editing capabilities such as zoom and crop plus a range of Instagram-like filters.

“Excited to announce Facebook Camera (because it makes total sense to launch a competitor to a service we paid a billion dollars for)” posted satirical Twitter account Not Mark Zuckerberg ?(@ceoMarkZuck).

Twitterers chimed in “Ugh, do I really need this Facebook camera app? I just got on the Instagram wagon like a month ago,” “Can't wait to download Facebook Camera so I can have two Facebook apps that don't work” and “Imagine buying a house for $1bn, bulldozing it, then building a similar but not as good one in its place. That's Facebook Camera.”  

British actor Matt Smith, best known for playing Doctor Who in the 11th incarnation of the popular series, has been named as one of the Olympic torchbearers.

BBC’s official Doctor Who Twitter account revealed the news, tweeting, “#whowillrun We can confirm that Matt Smith will start the #torchrelay in Cardiff tomorrow (Saturday)!” adding “Matt Smith told us, ‘To carry the Torch is an honour, one I thought I'd never get, I'm very excited!’ Good luck, Matt!”

WWF wrestler “Chris Jericho” has reportedly been suspended indefinitely for “denigrating the Brazilian flag” during a match in Brazil. He tweeted “Just for the record I love Brazil and wish we could've spent more time here. Beautiful country!”

Tweeps are sharing their honest feelings and thoughts with first place hashtag “#HonestyHour” and explaining what happens when they get drunk with second place hashtag “#WhenIGetDrunk.”

The movies “Alpha Dog” and “Like Mike” are trending in fourth and ninth places.
